Dog and cat Asking simple questions and practise good listening
How does it work? The players are sitting in a circle. The game animator shows an object of any kind to the person sitting right to him and says: “this is a dog”. The player has to ask back: “What’s that?” The answer from animator is “This is a dog”, and now the player can take the object and show it to the person sitting to his right, saying: “This is a dog”. On the question of the second player “What’s that” the first one asks the animator again “What’s that?”, animator: “This is a dog”, first player to second: “This is a dog”, and now can the second player take the object, show it to the third one saying “This is a dog”, the third one asks: “What’s that”, the second one asks the first, the first asks the animator: “What’s that”, the answer goes the way back to the third player and so on.
At about this point the participants understand (more or less) the rules, so the play can begin. On the right side it’s a dog, an another object goes it’s way on the left as a cat, with the same rules. You can imagine the job of the player sitting at the point, where dog and cat meet…
The job of the animator is pretty simple: to say on the right “This is a dog” and on the left “This is a cat”. And enjoying the laughter, which comes up.
